An In-Depth Review on Vivo V40e

Vivo has launched a new model Vivo V40e. You can think of buying this phone, but before buying it, you must know some things. Here I will discuss the details of the Vivo V40e phone, which will help you to buy the phone. Also, I will tell you the Vivo V40e price in Bangladesh.

Design & Build Quality

The first thing that drew my attention with the phone was its astonishing color and make. The phone has a pretty sleek design and it feels more than a bit slim in your hand. It measures only 7.5mm in thickness and has a total body weight of 183 grams, By these, it is easy to handle and use for longer periods.vivo v40e design build qualityThe Monsoon Green variant stands out clearly, which is the one I chose as well. The last part of the back part is made from glossy material which looks gorgeous under the light and gives a modern view of beauty. The emergent edges of this phone are rounded and this must have been planned to increase the ergonomic appearance of the phone. The aluminium frame enhances the looks of the product and also gives a very decent and strong build of the product.

The positioning of most of the buttons is well done ranging from the volume control button on the right side of the phone followed by the power button. On its bottom, there is a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille.

Display

The display of the Vivo V40e is also impressive and acts as one of the key selling points of the mobile phone brand. The first thing any user encounters with the gadget on the display is the 6.77 inches AMOLED, which provides excellent colors and high resolution. The hardware boasts a display size of 1080 x 2392 pixels making them ideal for viewing sharp images and videos. Depending on what the user is doing whether it is watching a movie, playing a game or searching the web, the feature provides enhanced visibility.

Among the beneficial features that can be seen happening in the display is that it boasts of a 120Hz refresh rate. This makes gestures such as scrolling on the social networking platform or while in the apps really smooth. As soon as you’ve had a taste at high refresh rate mode, you cannot go back to low refresh rate any longer. The screen also has support for HDR10 meaning that the blacks are deeper and the whites brighter than before.

Performance & Software

The Vivo V40e has been quite an impressive device, particularly in regard to performance and software. The phone carries MediaTek Dimensity 7300 as the chipset and guarantees fluid operation and optimized performance. This version is sensitive from the very start, as soon as you switch it on. It is generally responsive and loads the apps fast, there are no complaints about its interface either.

vivo v40e performance software

I thought it wise to give the Vivo V40e device a run for its money. I tried it out on some games with graphics and the result was fine. With an octa-core processor and 8 GB RAM the most demanding applications can be run without any problems. The phone was able to run multiple applications at once and navigate between them with no signs of delay.”

Powering the Vivo V40e is the Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 to give the smartphone a clean and easy to use interface. The work done on the software aspect of it is fairly good, and takes a lot of pressure off regarding the usability of the program. The other advantage which strikes me is in the ability to personalize the first page with the help of changing the position of the icons and the widgets. Simple and elegant design push buttons with the navigation that is simple and comprehensible to anyone.

There is also another great feature of the software: Ultra Game Mode. This feature enhances the gaming experience on the phone since it allows it to be tuned to that purpose. It hides notifications and upsurges CPU speed, it makes sure that you don’t receive any interruption while gaming.

Moreover, the gadget also supports other AI features such as AI Editor and AI Gallery that assist in managing photos and videos effectively. The product release features useful additions such as Smart Split that enable multiple functions, and the Jovi Home which is a speaking assistant function of the phone that learns from user’s usage.

Cameras

This phone has very interesting cameras and the video options are quite good too. I recall the first time I used the phone to record some events. There is a lot to talk about but what caught my attention first was the 50MP primary camera. It records high quality and colourful images, especially in low light environments. I accompanied my walk to the park one sunny afternoon with the camera and took a few shots. The images were clear, natural and had a very high contrast. There is also the Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) which assists in making the shots sharper and more focused, especially in the dark.

Moving to the 8MP depth sensor I took some portrait shots of my friends for testing. In the background, there was no haze and the subject being focused on was well done. This depth sensor enhances the quality of your pictures making them look like they have been taken using a professional camera.

As for the video recording, this phone is not a disappointment at all. It comes with 4K video recording at 30/60fps to guarantee that your recorded videos are of the best quality. Once I filmed a friend’s dance show and the video turned out to be marvelous. The OIS feature also comes in handy in ensuring that the videos do not wobble when being recorded even when the person recording them is on the move.

Another great feature is the front camera. It has a 50MP sensor that will effectively capture clear and detailed selfies. The front-facing camera produces good quality images and video, whether you are making a fast selfie or have a video call. The selfie camera also records 1080p video which is suitable for video calls and vlogging .

Storage Options

The Vivo V40e does not lack in the storage department and you have multiple options to choose from. It is available with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage which means you will have enough space for your apps, photos and videos. So, I decided to take the 256GB version because it has enough space to store all my documents and do not think about the lack of free space.

Furthermore, the storage is expandable up to 1TB by micro-SD card slot. This flexibility is a god-send, especially for those people who prefer to download movies, music, and other types of media. These options mean you will never be limited by the amount of storage available again.

Battery & Charging

Battery compartment of the Vivo V40e is quite astonishingly deep. This one comes with a 5500mAh battery, which sustains its usage for an entire day under heavy load. One day I thought of testing it to the extreme with constant video streaming, social media surfing and gaming. As early evening approached, the battery still had quite a lot of energy and this further proved this battery’s power. This makes it perfect for use under time-sensitive conditions since the subject is always on the move.

That is unless you need to recharge and the 80W fast charging feature makes it worthwhile. Inserting the phone’s charger into the port, I could not believe how fast the battery percentage filled up. I noticed that in 15 minutes the battery charged up to 50% which I found rather useful on a working day. The fast charging is that you don’t have to wait for a long time for the battery to recharge so you can go back to using the phone.

The USB Type-C port also makes charging much easier and convenient because you don’t need to worry about which end to plug into the other. It also has a feature of smart charging to make it charge effectively without causing a heat issue. This provides you with an added security knowing that the phone is protected during those brief top-ups.

Vivo V40e Price in Bangladesh

The Vivo V40e price in Bangladesh is BDT 39,000 (Unofficial) for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of phone storage. It has another variant 8GB+256GB, its price at BDT 41,000.

This phone is not yet officially released in Bangladesh. But don't worry, if you want to buy the phone, then you can buy it from authorized retail shops, or its online shop. The phone comes in 2 different colors Royal Bronze, and Mint Green, you can choose any one of them as per your choice.

Final Word

I would like to admit that the Vivo V40e reflects both the style and functionality perspectives rather perfectly. The screen is AMOLED and it is bright and very beautiful for videos or games. It performs well during the day shooting accurate and colorful images.

Low light performance could be better but it is nonetheless a good option. So for the price I would say it’s good value especially with its slim form factor and Quick Charge feature. A good and quite suitable phone for the flagship-price range.
