Box Content
This is what you get inside the Samsung Galaxy M06 Design box:
- Samsung Galaxy M06 Smartphone
- USB Type-C cable
- Silicone Cover
- SIM ejector tool
- User manual
Upon the first opening of the Samsung Galaxy M06, I found the accessories being adequately packed. The pack contains the handset itself, a USB type C cable, a SIM card remover and a user manual.
The only thing that I find missing is that there is no charger provided in the box, which is not new coming from Samsung as they have been removing chargers in their package lately.
This minimalist design is convenient for the environment but may entail the need of buying a charger on your personal accord. In general, the unboxing presentation is simple and pragmatic with no frills that are not required.
Design & Build Quality
Examining the Samsung Galaxy M06 for the first time, I found out that it has a very stylish and trendy look. The device also has a glass front while the back and frame is made of plastic to give the device a premium look while at the same time being able to withstand some drops and shocks. Its dimensions are 167.4 mm in width, 77.4 mm in height and 8 mm in thickness with the weight of 191 grams, which make the phone comfortable to hold in hand.

It has the 6.74-inch PLS LCD display with the screen to body ratio of 84.6%. The color options bring a certain charm to the device and are called Blazing Black and Sage Green. It is also possible to include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is quite helpful and convenient for unlocking the phone. Another good thing is that this device has a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who prefer wired headphones.
Taking the design and build quality into consideration, it is clear that the Galaxy M06 represents Samsung’s aspiration to provide a quality budget smartphone.
Display
One feature that did not disappoint me when using the Samsung Galaxy M06 was the display. It is equipped with a 6.74-inch PLS LCD display that can provide a wide area to navigate, stream or play games. The 720 x 1600 pixels display may sound like a low pixel density on paper, but in real-life usage, the tablet offers quite good image quality and colors for basic tasks.
What makes the most significant difference is the 90Hz refresh rate. The movements on the screen, switching between, for example, scrolling through social media and jumping between apps, are as smooth and responsive as I would have expected at this price point. It is a very natural touch that is not very common in low-end smartphones.

Another aspect that came in handy during outdoor activities was the brightness of up to 800 nits. The screen can also be easily viewed under direct sunlight, an ability that is not common in most budget smartphones. The brightness was high enough and overall contrast, as well as angles, were also perfectly acceptable for an LED-backlit display as opposed to an AMOLED one.
The 20:9 aspect ratio ensures that the experience of watching videos is a good one and the thin bezels enhance the immersion. This is achieved through the screen-to-body ratio of around 84.6% making it look more luxurious than it is.
The Galaxy M06 is not top of the line in terms of screen quality but it does well to excel in the other important areas. For those individuals who are in the market for a phone that has smooth, bright and, most importantly, a stable screen for not a lot of money, this phone is quite a contender.
Camera
In terms of the camera, the Samsung Galaxy M06 delivers a competent package given its price range. At the back it has a dual camera unit with a main sensor of 50 MP with an f/1.8 aperture and a secondary shooter of 2 MP with f/2.4 aperture. The main camera has phase detection autofocus (PDAF) as well as an LED flash that makes it possible to take clear images at different lighting. The rear camera is also capable of capturing Full HD (1920 x 1080) video at frame rates of 30 frames per second.
Daylight Photography:
When it comes to taking pictures in well-lit areas, the Galaxy M06 does a fairly good job. Image quality is evident where the dynamic range and color reproduction are good and natural. There is not much lag when half pressing the shutter button for autofocus and shutter response is very good. I was also able to capture some good outdoor scenes and subjects of daily use with little or no stress. It is beneficial for the average user and networking sites.

Low-Light Photography:
In low-light conditions, performance does deteriorate and this is where you begin to see the weaknesses of the phone. Images that are taken in photos have a certain amount of noise and lack of sharpness compared with the original object. The phone does not have a feature where you can disable the flash, so it’s left to holding the phone steady and using the existing light. Indoor photography is acceptable if the Light is good, but as soon as the area is darker the details are not as good.
There is an 8 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture ideal for selfies and video calls. It also has video recording capability but the rate at which the videos can be captured in frames is not elaborated.

At the same time, there are no OIS or ultra-wide and macro lenses in Galaxy M06, however, its camera is quite suitable for everyday shooting. The presence of a good quality main sensor alongside depth sensor makes it capable of taking good portraits and regular photos.
The Galaxy M06’s camera system is good enough to suffice for the occasional photography enthusiasts who have a budget constraint and are looking for a good phone with a decent camera.
Performance & Software
As for the performance, I was quite pleased by this device’s performance considering that it falls under the budget segment of the Samsung Galaxy M series. It runs with Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chip, and it has up to 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. From my use, the phone was able to run tasks such as browsing, messaging and social media easily. The transition between apps was smooth and there was hardly any delay even with the multitasking feature.
For gaming, basic games such as Subway Surfers and Clash Royale were not a problem. Titles such as PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty Mobile can be run on low settings. It is normal to experience a few frame drops here and there, but that’s the beauty of this product at this price.

It is a smartphone that is based on the Android 14 operating system with One UI Core 6 shell, which is considered to be a lightweight version of the main Samsung shell. The interface was simple and easy to navigate as it did not contain any unnecessary buttons that one may get confused with. It also has basic features such as the dark theme, digital health, and others like split-screen multitasking. But, do not expect to see the extra frills found on Samsung devices such as Samsung Pay or Secure Folder.
One more advantage is that Samsung guarantees 2 years of major Android updates and 4 years of security updates, which is not common at this price point. That provides a sense of confidence in terms of durability and the reliability of the software to be developed.
All in all, it is possible to note that Galaxy M06 meets everyday user’s expectations and provides rather good performance. It is not a machine which is designed for multitasking or even for playing games, for a simple user it is one of the best bet and it does everything very efficiently. It is free of bloatwares, secure, and has long term support, all of which contribute to the value of the phone.
AnTuTu Benchmark & GeekBench Score
Samsung Galaxy M06 as we’ve seen offers reasonable performance that is commensurate with the product’s price range. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and scored approximately 385,955 AnTuTu Benchmark. This score shows that this device is better than 69% of other smartphones, so it is fit for use in basic activities and some multitasking.

On the GeekBench performance, the Galaxy M06 5G has given 967 single-core scores and 2,750 multi-core scores. Taking into account these findings, it can be stated that the device is suitable for everyday operations common for smartphones, such as browsing, media consumption, and casual gaming.
The Galaxy M06 has an overall satisfactory performance that enables it to execute various basic tasks without hitches and delivers a seamless user experience.
Battery & Charger
Samsung Galaxy M06 came with a 5000mAh battery that is quite reasonable for this class of devices. It can certainly last a whole day with regular use which includes browsing through social media, and playing light games. I managed to get an average of 6-7 hours screen-on time before I had to charge the device, which is good for a device of this class.

The charging power of the phone is 25W fast charging, and in the course of charging it takes approximately 1.5 hours from 0% to 100% fully charged. But not the most impressive, anyway, when compared with other devices, this charging speed is quite acceptable for the price. The fast charging is very important when you have to charge your phone with limited time remaining before you are out of charge.
The company has followed the trend of many other brands out there when it decided not to include a charger in the box. Hence, if you do not have an appropriate charger, you have to buy one additionally to be able to use it. This decision will help in decreasing the e-waste generated but may cause some difficulties to the users.
Samsung Galaxy M06 Price in Bangladesh
The Samsung Galaxy M06 price in Bangladesh for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is set at BDT 17,000. The above prices are approximate and as per unofficial sources since the device has not been officially launched in the country.
As a budget phone, the Galaxy M06 is a reasonable smartphone with features such as 6.74 inches display, 50 MP, dual rear camera and 5000 mAh battery capacity. However, it is pertinent to mention that this device is not officially guaranteed in Bangladesh due to its unauthorized variant.
The Galaxy M06 is highly recommended to be bought from local stores or to search online for the most up to date prices and stock availability.
Final Word
The performance of the Samsung Galaxy M06 is generally satisfactory and it is an affordable smartphone. Thanks to a strong showing, a 50MP camera, and a battery, it is a worthy representative of the budget segment. It is not excellent in low light photography and gaming, but is sufficient for general use. In terms of value for money, the capabilities of the device, and the quality of the display, Galaxy M06 can be considered suitable for most people.
