An In-Depth Review on iQOO Neo 10R

Are you looking for a flashy phone with a good selfie camera? And for you, iQOO has brought the iQOO Neo 10R. However, every phone has some strengths and weaknesses. So, you should know about these aspects before buying a phone. Here, you will get an idea of the iQOO Neo 10R price in Bangladesh and the pros and cons of the phone.

Box Content

The package which was unboxed was quite compact and contained all the necessary accessories for the iQOO Neo 10R:

  • iQOO Neo 10R Smartphone
  • 80W Charger
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Display Protector
  • SIM ejector tool
  • Protective Case
  • User manual

I personally found it to be rather enjoyable when opening the box of the iQOO Neo 10R. Inside, I saw the beautiful Raging Blue handset that was quite attractive to me. In the box, there is a charging brick that supports 80W FlashCharge, the USB type-C cable, a transparent TPU case, SIM tool, and the quick start guide along with a warranty card.

Design & Build Quality

First of all, when holding the iQOO Neo 10R in my hand, I feel that the weight and grip are moderate even though the phone has a 6.78-inch screen and 6,400mAh battery. The Raging Blue variant I have explores a racing car theme with a dual-color texture that gives off a youthful and spirited energy. In addition to that, the MoonKnight Titanium model has a 3D moon texture that gives the device a more stylish look.

There is a plastic back made to resemble glass that gives a premium feel to the device. The camera module is reminiscent of the iQOO 13 design and is an island with an off-center protrusion, which is rather beautiful and does not take up much space.

Durability is not left out; the phone has a rating of IP65, which means it is protected against dust as well as water droplets. The protection of the display is provided by Schott Xensation Up, which increases the scratch and low-impact durability. In general, the iQOO Neo 10R is a very well-thought and well-built smartphone that I enjoyed using day to day.

Display

The device features an impressive 6.78 inches AMOLED display which makes the first impression about the iQOO Neo 10R. Measuring 1260×2800 pixels, images and graphics are displayed with high quality and color intensity.

This is because it has a 144Hz refresh rate that gives very smooth scrolling and the best feel when it comes to gaming. Contrast is good, and the shades of black are dark, because of the AMOLED screen.

Thus, even in direct sunlight, the content displayed on the screen will be easily visible owing to a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Opting for HDR10+ is a pleasure, as the content has a higher contrast and dynamic range for the picture to come alive.

The 480Hz touch sampling rate contributes to the interactivity; the taps and swipes made on the touch screen will be almost real-time. The screen of the Neo 10R is excellent for gaming, streaming, and browsing because it is one of the best in the industry.

Camera

The iQOO Neo 10R features a dual-camera setup on the back: a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. During the day, the main camera is capable of producing sharp and realistic images. It is possible to choose between Natural mode for more accurate colors shades and boost saturation a little. It is good when used, but overdoing it will cause the shadows in a bright scene to be underexposed.

The front-facing selfies are well illuminated by the 32MP sensor in well lit situations. However, skin tones can look odd and low light selfies are more eased out with some noise visible.

Daylight Photo:

The iQOO Neo 10R’s camera system takes good pictures regardless of the lighting conditions it is subjected to. In photo capturing, the 50MP main sensor delivers bright, detailed and naturally saturated photos with accurate natural colors and good balance between light and dark areas. For example, a landscape photo taken during the day has great detail and accurate color tone.

Lowlight Photo:

The low light result is satisfactory, although it is even better when Night Mode is engaged and activated. Night cityscape picture seems to be slightly overexposed, yet some amount of brightness and details are visible even if one zooms into the picture and there is noise as well.

For videos, the main camera can capture up to 4K at 60fps with stabilization ensuring that the videos produced are stable. The ultra-wide lens has a maximum resolution of 1080p. The front camera videos are limited to 4K at 30 frames per second. This is stable in good light but experiences jitter when the light is low.

Performance & Software

It has been a good experience to use the iQOO Neo 10R. With the help of the Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, the phone performs all routine and multiple tasks with ease. It takes a short duration for the apps to start, and there is no time wastage while transitioning from one app to another. Gaming is one of the strong points; titles such as Call of Duty Mobile can be played at high settings with almost no frame drops observed.

Nevertheless, the software experience has its advantages and disadvantages as shown below. Since this device runs on FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15, the interface has been customizable and this I liked. Nevertheless, such features as pre-installed applications and occasional spam notifications from the V-Appstore are less desirable. Some animations were jarring which shows that there could be improvements made in that area.

On the plus side, iQOO guarantees two years of Android version updates and three years of security updates, which is reassuring in terms of the device’s endurance. In general, the performance of the software is excellent but to make the application more professional, it needs some touches.

AnTuTu Benchmark & GeekBench Score

The testing of the iQOO Neo 10R revealed a lot in as much as the performance is concerned. In AnTuTu, it got 1,476,651 which is definitely in the bracket of upper mid-range smartphones. For CPU it is 382,124, GPU 499,035, Memory 322,478 and UX 273,014.

Single core scoring was recorded to be at 1,971 while that of multi-core scoring was 5,139 as seen from GeekBench. These figures mean that one can easily multi-thread and handle complex applications in a seamless manner.

In daily usage, the phone was quite snappy and was able to launch apps in a short time and games did not lag. These figures go a long way in establishing the credibility of the iQOO Neo 10R in terms of handling performance-centric tasks.

Battery & Charger

The battery capacity of the iQOO Neo 10R is 6,400mAh which gives enough battery back up time. The battery of the phone does not last a day, not even with intensive usage, which includes gaming, streaming, and social media. On lighter days, it was possible to get near to two days before the battery required a boost.

In terms of charging, it is considerably swift, thanks to the supplied 80W charger. In my tests, the power bank charged the device from 20% full to 100% in approximately 42 minutes. This charging capability is suitable for charging the battery during the day when there is a need to charge frequently. But use of the fast charging often makes the phone warm a little, but not to the level of being hot.

In the same respect, the phone has another mode known as the bypass charging mode that works during gaming. This makes it possible for the charging current to output the power directly to the device without passing through the battery and hence minimize the heat built up which is preferable for gaming.

iQOO Neo 10R Price in Bangladesh

iQOO Neo 10R is not yet released in Bangladesh, but I managed to find out some information about it. The iQOO Neo 10R price in Bangladesh is BDT 43,500 (Unofficial) for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the aspect of pricing, the prices appear reasonable and it will be useful to contact some of the local dealers for the most current information.

Final Word

The iQOO Neo 10R offers solid performance with its powerful processor, smooth display, and fast charging. The battery is very good and can last up to a whole day depending on usage. Though the design is not very impressive and the software is not up to the mark, the overall experience for the price it offers is good.
