OnePlus Open Overview
OnePlus Open is a premium foldable smartphone worth checking out, which is released in late October 2023. It is more up to date in terms of software in some of the older foldable smartphones that we know. OnePlus is known to implement stable hardware and software quality so, that is of benefit as well. It has TÜV Rheinland “reliable folding” certification to 1,000,000 folds.
The phone has adequate built condition with Ceramic Guard layer screen protection and an IPX4 rated splash resistant body. There are eco or faux (artificial) leather back and glass back options. There is a 6.31” cover display and a large 7.82” primary display, both with stunning ProXDR quality and a very high 2800 nits peak brightness. It comes with very advanced back camera quality, with Hasselblad branding, a telephoto lens (3x optical zoom), an ultrawide lens and so on. It is also made for professional-level night time photography and has a new and powerful Sony LYTIA-T808 sensor. The rear, the selfie and the cover cameras all can record 4K videos.
Performance is great with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is the 4th most powerful chipset according to Nanoreview upon the release date of the phone. There is 16 GB RAM so, it can provide very long-term support for gaming, photo/video editing, multitasking via the split screen apps and so on. It has spital audio and Dolby Atmos for pleasing sound output. It supports the latest WiFi 7.
