Maximus Mobile is a Bangladeshi brand which may seem relatively new in the country. But the company was known as “Siemens Bangladesh”previously and around the year 2006, they had about 7% mobile phone market share in Bangladesh. But then they changed their business policy and sold their company to the Quartel Infotech Limited. They got the whole share of the company after a bid. After that, they started to manufacture phones from the year 2009 under the name Maximus. They have contributed well in the industry and achieved almost 10% of the market share by 2010. Since then, the mobile phone industry kept growing steadily in Bangladesh and many globally recognized brands established their business here. Many brands have seen ups and downs and some have fallen behind. But Maximus still ensured a place in the modern market of 2019 after a long journey in this demanding sector.

As per the company portfolio, Quartel Infotech, the owner of Maximus Mobile has a far-reaching vision to make the company bigger and turn the local brand into a global brand. They emphasize on the adaptation of the advanced technology and the easy user interface. They care more about customer satisfaction, so they try to offer stronger specs at an affordable rate.
Current State of Maximus Mobile
Maximus manufactured phones in a different price range, categories, and specs in their early time. They had series like universal phones, full multimedia phones, touch phones, and smartphones. The price of their smartphones starts from as low as 3,000 Tk and we have seen releases that were up to 14,000 Tk. It was a well-recognizable name among the low and low-mid range Android smartphone consumers as well as to the feature phone users. But the industry has changed a lot since the past few years and we have seen a very few releases from Maximus in recent times. After a long break, they have released three very low budget 4G smartphones at the end of 2018 in cooperation with Robi and Grameenphone. Maximus D1 is released for Robi customers whereas Maximus D7 and P7 are released for Grameenphone customers. All these devices got a very high amount of buyer interest as low-budget 4G phones. The overall specs of these phones got appreciation from the market as well.
